  In a dream I was vaguely lifted from my friend’s cliff side bedroom onto the back of a whale shark. It’s skin was rich and dark: the spots looked like a starry night sky. He carried me onto massive waves, and although terrified of the waters, I arrived gently ashore at Limantour Beach in Point Reyes.
